What this site collects, and what I do with it.
This policy covers puzzlegroup.com, the website of Puzzle Group, LLC, doing business as Puzzle Group Law Firm at 40 E Simpson Ave, Jackson, WY 83001. The short version: the site has no accounts and takes no payments; it uses Google's analytics and advertising tools, a chat assistant, and a contact form, each described below; and I do not sell what I learn about you. What you give me as a client is also governed by the rules of professional conduct, which are stricter than anything here.
What you give me directly
When you use the contact form, the chat assistant, an intake form, or simply call or email, you give me what you choose to say: usually a name, a phone number, an email address, and a short description of a legal matter. The contact form is processed by Formspree, which stores the submission and emails it to my office. The chat assistant and the intake forms are provided by Clio Grow, a law-practice intake system; what you enter there is stored in that system and, if you book a call, on my calendar. I use this information to run a conflicts check, to respond, and to keep a record of the inquiry. Please hold confidential details until the conflicts check is complete.
What the site collects on its own
The site uses Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to record which pages are visited, from what kind of device, and roughly from where; Google sets cookies for that purpose and processes the data under its own terms. It also uses Google Ads conversion tracking, which tells me when a visit that began with an advertisement ends in a form submission or a phone call. Part of that is call tracking: on some visits the phone number shown on the site is replaced with a Google forwarding number that connects to my office, and Google records that a call occurred, how long it lasted, and the area code it came from, but not its content. None of these tools identifies you by name unless you have already given your name to my office. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google's opt-out add-on or a content blocker, and the site will still work.
Text messages
If you give my office a mobile number and agree to receive text messages, I may text you about your inquiry, your appointments, and, if you become a client, your matter. Consent is never a condition of receiving legal services, message frequency varies, and your carrier's message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance. Your mobile number and your opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes, regardless of anything else in this policy.
Who else sees it
I do not sell personal information or share it for anyone else's marketing. Google, Clio, and Formspree process information on my behalf under their own terms, and my office uses ordinary tools for email, calendaring, document storage, and telephone service that handle what passes through them. Beyond that, I disclose information only when the law or a court requires it, when it is needed to protect my rights or a client's, or with your consent. Client information is further protected by privilege and the duty of confidentiality.
How long I keep it, and your requests
Inquiries that do not become matters are kept long enough to complete the conflicts check, respond, and preserve a record that the check was run; client files are kept as long as the rules of professional conduct and my engagement agreement require; analytics data is retained by Google for the period set in my account. You may ask what information my office holds about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by writing to info@puzzlegroup.com or to Puzzle Group, LLC, 40 E Simpson Ave, Jackson, WY 83001. I will answer within a reasonable time and explain any part of a request I cannot honor, usually because the information belongs to a client file or a conflicts record I must keep. This site is not directed to children under eighteen.
