Three practices, one lawyer.

This office handles three kinds of legal problem and declines the rest: family law, criminal defense in Teton County, and the federal citation a ranger writes in Yellowstone or Grand Teton. Start from the paper in your hand.

Call or text me. Clients get my cell number from day one, and I answer. Just been served, arrested, or handed a park violation notice? What happens next: divorce · arrest · park notice.

Contact me now.

Three fields, thirty seconds. My office calls you back, usually the same business day.

Sending this doesn't create an attorney-client relationship, and I can't treat it as confidential until we've cleared conflicts, so keep it general. By sending, you agree we may reply by phone, email, or text.

Which chapter is yours.

A marriage, a child, an agreement.

A divorce, a parenting dispute, a support order that no longer fits, or a prenup to draft or defend: the family-law chapter. Heard in the district court in Jackson, where the judge's discretion is wide and evidence fills it.

A charge in Teton County.

A deputy or a Jackson officer arrested you, or handed you a citation with a circuit-court date: the criminal-defense chapter. DUI, assault and domestic battery, drug possession, the week after an arrest, and expungement afterward.

A notice from a ranger.

The officer wore a Park Service uniform and the paper says United States District Court: the national-parks chapter, whichever park and whatever the charge. The park boundary decides the court, not the seriousness of the offense.

Family law.

Divorce, custody, support, alimony, prenups, and changing or enforcing an order, in Teton, Lincoln, and Sublette counties, with depth where a business, a ranch, or equity compensation must be valued and divided.

Criminal defense.

Selected DUI, assault and domestic-violence, and drug-possession cases in the Teton County courts, and clearing a Wyoming record afterward.

National parks.

A violation notice from Yellowstone or Grand Teton is a federal case, and most people who receive one are home in another state before it comes due. One kind of citation per page.

Start

Start with a confidential conversation with Aaron Herzberg.

Family-law consultations are a scheduled, paid working session, in person in Jackson or by video: one fee, quoted when we schedule. Criminal and national-park matters begin with a thirty-minute call. Either way your note reaches me directly, and you can call or text any time.

Write to me

A sentence or two is plenty. Read by a person, not a call center, usually the same business day.

  1. Your note reaches me directly; my office runs the conflicts check, usually the same business day.
  2. My office calls to schedule: a paid consultation for a family matter, the thirty-minute call for a criminal or park matter.
  3. We meet, in Jackson or by video, and you leave knowing what I would do first.
